These New Patek Philippe Timepieces
Celebrate The 50th Anniversary Of Cortina Watch
And Raise A Toast To The Dynamic Spirit Of Modern Asia

Emblematic and full of rich storytelling, they will join
others in a travelling exhibition at Cortina Watch stores
around Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan.

A partnership that spans 50 years and that transcends generations is indeed one to cherish and celebrate. This is exactly how far Cortina

Watch has come in 2022 with Patek Philippe, both family-owned businesses with a shared passion for the fine watchmaking and craftmanship.

Marking this very special occasion are two equally momentous timepieces created for Cortina Watch by Patek Philippe, one of which is especially close
to the heart of the Lim family who owns and runs Cortina Watch, while the other symbolises the multi-generational friend- and partnership between the
two entities.

Knowing Cortina Watch’s deep adoration of Patek Philippe dome clocks, the Geneva
manufacture dedicated a new unique piece to the retailer’s Golden Jubilee.
This exquisite creation is aptly themed on Cortina Watch’s city of origin, Singapore, and
remarks upon an incredible journey made over five beautiful decades.

Patek Philippe and Cortina Watch share an intertwined
relationship in Asia, from the establishment of the Patek
Philippe boutiques across Southeast and East Asia, to our
shared passion for fine watchmaking and craftmanship.
I have personally experienced this through the generous
friendship of Mr. Thierry Stern and Mr. Philippe Stern, and
so have many of our clients.

– Jeremy Lim, Cortina Watch CEO –

Christened Ref. 20145M-001 Singapore Skyline, this exquisite timepiece details some of the Lion City’s most iconic sights as seen
across the picturesque Marina Bay. Indeed, the statue of Merlion which overlooks the Bay had been built in 1972 – the same year of
Cortina Watch’s founding.

Traditional grand feu cloisonné enamel covers all of the dome clock’s surfaces. No fewer than 50 different enamels, along with 9.2
metres of 24K gold wire cut and shaped – by hand of course – were needed to realise every fragment in this artwork, large or small.
In particular, the reflections of each place of interest upon the water are incredibly stirring, and telling of the enameller’s keen
savoir-faire in bringing the Singapore skyline to life.

Dazzling fireworks and clusters of sparkling stars evoke a spangled sky that reminds us once again of the retailer’s wondrous festiv-
ities, and also tacitly, the beauty of a great partnership.

An engraved inscription is discreetly indicated on the clock

The friendship between my grandfather, father, and Mr. Anthony Lim started over 66 years
ago and it still stands strong today, much like the relationship between Patek Philippe and
Cortina Watch. This is a unique and precious relationship that truly transcends generations.
I am proud to be part of this very special celebration and to present the Ref. 20145M-001
‘Singapore Skyline’ dome table clock to Mr. Anthony Lim on behalf of my father.
We look forward to another 50 years of great partnership, and for our next generations to
keep this friendship going.

– Thierry Stern, Patek Philippe President –

Dome clock Ref. 20145M-001 Singapore Skyline joins three more in Cortina Watch’s private collection – a source of immense pride
and joy for the Lim family to be certain.

They include dome clocks Ref. 1677M The Esplanade – Singapore, Ref. 20040M-001 Twilight Taipei, and Ref. 20094M – Bay of Singa-
pore, all of which hold great significance not just to Cortina Watch but the watchmaking industry at large.

For it isn’t just majestic scenery or great occasions they symbolise, but more importantly, the pres-
ervation and perpetuation of rare artisanal handcrafts. Examples include the aforementioned cloi-
sonné enamel (a favourite of Patek Philippe’s artisans for the dome clocks), as well as gold-leaf
pailloné enamel, and also the lesser known grisaille enamel seen in Cortina Watch’s Bay of Singa-
pore dome clock, and more.

Along with dome clock Ref. 20145M-001 Singapore Skyline, another celebratory timepiece joins the Cortina Watch festivities, one that
collectors might even find a tad familiar.

A total of 6.25 metres of gold wire measuring
0.2mm wide, and some 20 different enamel co-
lours, were needed to bring the Esplanade Park
and Marina Bay Sands’ dome clock work of art to
completion.

The Cortina Watch 50th Anniversary Commemorative
Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5057G-010

Created especially for this occasion is the Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5057G-010 commemorating half a century of history for
Cortina Watch. Why this elegant wristwatch might ignite feelings of déjà vu is because this is not the first special edition timepiece
crafted by Patek Philippe for Cortina Watch.

Limited to 100 pieces, this exquisite timepiece is easily identified by its triple-row Clous de Paris bezel. That plus a melange of hor-
ological displays – from the power reserve to the date and moon phases, to the small seconds – ties it certainly to Cortina Watch,
and Cortina Watch only.

Only this time Ref. 5057 returns with a decidedly more contemporary aesthetic. The white gold and charcoal grey dial definitely
serves it well, just as the opaline and rose gold combination did for the Ref. 5057R-001 of 1997, which celebrated Cortina Watch’s
25th anniversary.

We have retained the aesthetic codes of the 25th
anniversary Calatrava, launched in 1997, for the
50th anniversary limited edition. This is in homage
to the past and present leaders of both companies
who have nurtured our longstanding partnership.
I hope that it will continue to strengthen over the
next 50 years, and with the next generations after
us.

– Jeremy Lim, CEO of Cortina Watch –

Patek Philippe had inscribed its felicitations on the watch’s sapphire crystal, through which the inimitable ultra-thin Calibre 240 PS
IRM C LU may be admired, without a single shred of obstruction thanks to the solid gold micro-rotor engraved with the Patek
Philippe Calatrava Cross emblem.

It should come as no surprise that Swiss traditional métiers d’arts continually inspires Patek Philippe in all of its endeavours, from
dome clocks to classic Calatravas.

In honour of the longstanding partnership between Cortina Watch and Patek Philippe, the two companies are co-hosting a timepiece exhibition sharing
their mutual love for Swiss traditional watchmaking.

The Cortina Watch 50th anniversary commemorative timepiece will undoubtedly take the spotlight, accompanied by the 25th anniversary Calatrava
Ref. 5057R-001. Also not to be missed are the four Asia-inspired Patek Philippe dome clocks from the retailer’s private collection.

This travelling exhibition will be staged at Patek Philippe boutiques across the region, starting with ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. It
will then travel to Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia before finally returning to Singapore towards the end of the year.
